QUICK EVENT OVERVIEW
The European Paratroopers KRETA MEMORIAL is a commemorative and social event. The purpose of the event is to commemorate and honour the bravery of German Fallschirmjäger, who 80 years ago jumped and conquered the island of Crete successfully accomplishing the first ever strategic airborne operation in history, the airborne assault codenamed Operation Mercury, as well as the bravery of Allied forces, who, alongside Greek soldiers and Cretans, fought against the Germans in the Battle of Crete. The event it's also a good opportunity to promote the airborne brotherhood and the comradeship among soldiers of different nations, as we invites foreign troops from NATO and friend countries' Airborne Forces. This event includes parachute jumps on the historical dropzone (if possible), visits to the sites of the German landings, memorials and museums that tell us more about the War giving a fascinating insight into the events of May 1941. Participants must bring EPA combat and social uniforms (or their national military combat and class A uniforms (if authorized). Boots and ump helmet are mandatory. The entry fee for the event is €365 which includes all the event activities, special awards set features a medal, diploma, t-shirt, patch and stickers. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be presented to the members who have been part of the European Paratroopers for 15, 10 or 5 consecutive years.

Δηλώνει ως έδρα την Ιταλία, εκπαιδευτικό κέντρο στη Σλοβακία ενώ στα εκτελεστικά της όργανα αναφέρονται και ελληνικά ονόματα μαζί με φωτογραφίες τους!
Όσον αφορά την εκδήλωση τίμησης της αεραπόβασης των Ναζί (!!!) δίνεται μια διεύθυνση στα Χανιά.
